Operating for over 84 years, we supply and install an extensive range of hardware and security solutions to the design, building and construction industry. We offer a complete service from hardware supply to installation and maintenance.
We have an opportunity for a Hardware Installer to join our team.
Our premises is in Sydenham, but you will be working at various project sites within the greater Christchurch area. This is ongoing, full-time (minimum 40 hours per week), permanent employment.
Reporting to the installation manager, working within our installation team, you will be responsible for servicing new and existing customers for all physical security, hardware, and installation requirements for both commercial and residential applications.
You will ensure hardware is supplied and installed correctly, in appropriate timeframes to meet our deadlines for all building projects.
Your tasks will include-
• Installation of hardware including- door locks, handles, door closers, kickplates, general hardware and electrical security products.
• Completing installs to a high standard.
• Keeping tools well maintained
• Maintaining a clean work site
• Working to deadline
• Completing paperwork and updating our database.
• Ensuring the needs and requirements of our customers are understood and dealt with in a professional manner.
The successful candidate will have-
• 3+ years’ relevant carpentry experience, preference will be given to candidates who have experience with installation of security and door hardware.
• Relevant trade qualification preferred but not required.
• At least 2 work references
• 100% commitment to Health & Safety
