The Opportunity: We are on the lookout for a highly skilled Marine Mechanic/Technician to join our dedicated team. This role demands expertise in both mechanical and electrical systems of marine vessels, ranging from 30 foot pleasure boats to large floating gin palaces.

What You'll Be Doing:

 •  Routine and Emergency Maintenance: Perform maintenance and repairs on various marine engines, including inboard, outboard, and diesel engines. Address emergency repairs swiftly to ensure minimum downtime.
 •  System Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues with marine hydraulics, HVAC systems, and onboard electronics like GPS, radar, and communications equipment.
 •  Vessel Inspections and Upgrades: Conduct thorough inspections and preventive maintenance checks to ensure vessel safety and reliability. Install new hardware and update existing systems to enhance vessel performance and efficiency.
 •  Client Interaction: Collaborate with boat owners and captains to diagnose problems and propose effective maintenance solutions. Maintain high levels of customer service and clear communication.
 •  Documentation and Compliance: Prepare detailed service reports and keep meticulous records of all maintenance and repair activities. Ensure all work complies with safety protocols and environmental regulations.
 •  Inventory Management: Manage the inventory of parts and tools necessary for repair and maintenance tasks.
 •  Continuous Learning: Stay abreast of the latest in marine technology and repair techniques to enhance skills and services.

What You Need:

 •  Proven experience as a Marine Mechanic or Technician with a robust background in marine mechanical and electrical systems.
 •  Technical certification or a degree in marine engineering, mechanical engineering, or related fields.
 •  A good understanding of marine engines, electrical systems, and electronic navigation and communication equipment.
 •  The ability to work independently in challenging environments.
 •  Exceptional problem-solving skills and strong interpersonal capabilities.
 •  Willingness to travel internationally and flexible with work hours if required.
