Job Title: Mental Health Nurse - Intellectual (Learning) Disability

Hours: Full Time and Part Time - Perm

Explore a fulfilling career opportunity with our client's Intellectual Disability Forensic Service in Porirua has four different types of units. We're looking for dedicated nurses with expertise in intellectual disability/learning disability and/or mental health to join our clients team.

About Our Team:
Join a supportive team within the Mental Health Addictions and Intellectual Disability Service (MHAIDS). Situated in the serene surroundings, our clients Inpatient Service provides a conducive environment for professional development and collaboration.
With a focus on continuous learning and best practices, you'll have the chance to enhance your skills and contribute meaningfully to our mission.
About You:
Are you ready to take the next step in your nursing career? We're seeking dedicated individuals with a genuine interest in intellectual disability and mental health. We are seeking experienced registered nurses who have:
• Post registration education/learning and experience relevant to the speciality area of intellectual disability/learning disability and/or mental health
• Registration with New Zealand Nursing Council.
• Meet police vetting requirements.
• A current practising certificate.
• A full NZ driving licence.
• A minimum of 2 years relevant experience (is desired but not necessary for the right applicant).
If you are an overseas nurse interested in moving to NZ, the process involves:
• Passing the IELTS (Academic)
• Registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand (if you have restrictions to scope these must be either mental health or learning disability/intellectual disability)
• Immigration: Applicants should FIRST establish their eligibility for registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand & Immigration New Zealand.
