About the Role: You will serve our valued clientele and sell products, with daily tasks such as selling product, inputting data, processing orders, creating and maintaining stock displays, and cleaning the store.

Below are examples of some of the Rostered hours:
 •  Sun 9am-3pm, Mon, Tues, Weds, Thurs 9am-5pm (Fri and Sat off)
 •  Tues, Weds, Thurs, Fri, Sat 9am-5pm (Sun and Mon off)
 •  Potential for part-timers - if available to work at least one day per weekend.

Skills and Experience Required:

 •  These roles would suit people with previous retail experience.
 •  We are ideally looking for someone passionate about BOOKS, as predominantly the job is displaying, searching, sourcing, ordering, and recommending books to avid readers.
 •  Previous experience using POS terminals and Eftpos is preferred.
 •  Any experience selling Books, Stationery, Gifts, Office Products, and Greeting Cards would be ideal.
 •  Mature attitude, with strong work ethic and sense of responsibility.
 •  NZ Post / Kiwibank / Paper Plus experience would be a clear advantage.
 •  Strong computer skills (role includes the use of Advance Retail POS, MS Excel, database, and web)
 •  Fluent English language skills - both written and oral essential.
 •  Attention to detail and clear legible penmanship for writing notes and orders is essential.
 •  The ability to retain information and product knowledge in a fast-changing environment is necessary to keep up to date with book titles and new releases.
 •  Both physical and mental agility are required to keep up with daily tasks on the shop floor.
 •  Reliable transportation options to get to work before your shift starts.
 •  Well-presented with pride in your appearance and a personable and friendly manner.
 •  Available for permanent rostered hours, with one day per weekend.
