Due to continued growth, we have an opportunity for an Asphalt Plant Operator to be based in our Wellington Plant.

Due to continued growth, we have an opportunity for an Asphalt Plant Operator to be based in our Wellington Plant.
**Te** **kowhiringa | The Opportunity**?
We are expanding our team in Wellington and am looking for a loader operator.
You will essentially be responsible for ensuring that all plant is presented, maintained and operated in a professional manner that complies with all relevant legislation and achieves agreed productivity and quality targets. You will be willing to get stuck in and help the team with general labouring duties as required and will be encouraged to share your expertise with your crew.
This is a full time, permanent position, will be required to work on weekends from time to time with possible overtime and night shift if required. 5 days on, 2 days off.

We'd value the following skills and experience, however full training will be provided for the right candidate:
• Full Class 1 NZ Drivers Licence essential - Class 2+ NZ Drivers Licence with WTR and Forklift endorsements an advantage
• Experience or exposure to civil plant operations - Asphalt Plant, Bitumen Plant and Wheeled Loaders
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills as you will work with an extensive range of Downer and contracting crew members
• Commitment to a high standard of Health & Safety
• Experienced and able to learn computer systems
