Total Plumbing & Gas are looking for an experienced Estimator / Quantity Surveyor to help us grow our local company to the next level.

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Estimator / Quantity Surveyor, with experience and knowledge in the Plumbing, Gas fitting and Drainage industry, who has great communication skills, adds value to our business and in return you will be appreciated and valued for your contribution.

You'll be joining a well-established, locally owned family run business who have secured strong rapports with main contractors on both residential and commercial projects throughout the Bay of Islands, with plans currently in place to expand further within our region.

With staff of just under 20, we are a medium sized company where everyone knows each other's name. Our scope of work includes plumbing, gas fitting and drainage for new residential and commercial developments as well as maintenance and servicing.

You will be working with the Management Team taking charge of potential projects winning tenders, and responsible for site visits, quoting, and invoicing on your allocated jobs.
You will also be a team player working alongside the Projects and Maintenance Teams helping manage projects and the health and safety requirements for your allocated jobs.
This will all be managed in a timely manner, maintaining clear and consistent communication with our staff, suppliers, and contractors throughout the process.

What we are looking for: Skilled Estimator ideally experienced in pricing both residential and small to medium commercial developments.

Experience using Fergus Software or a similar job management system is beneficial but not necessary as training will be provided.
A clear understanding with Health & Safety to ensure projects are completed with safety as a high priority.
Attention to detail & great time-management skills to ensure no step in the process is missed.
10/10 communication and a team player attitude.
