*The Opportunity*

ADB Safegate are looking for a full time Electrical Site Supervisor to join our team working on projects in Auckland. This unique opportunity will provide you with a new perspective and help you gain valuable skills in a niche area of the electrical and aviation industry.

Although based at Auckland Airport, ADB Safegate hold service and construction contracts at airports across the country, as well as major projects in Australia, and applicants should consider the need for both short- and long-term travel in their future with us.
Flights, accommodation, vehicles, and fuel are all provided, as well as a daily allowance if you are required to work on one of our many airfield sites across the ANZ region.

*The role*

Supervision of daily tasks including, but not limited to:
 •  Oversee OHS/WHS on a day-to-day basis, and ensure safe working practices for you and your colleagues
 •  Work with civil crews and contractors to ensure the safe installation of underground services while identifying and protecting all existing underground services
 •  Isolation and testing of airfield lighting equipment and circuitry
 •  Understand and interpret site drawings and diagrams to ensure correct installation of all assets
 •  Set up and installation of electrical cables and ensure all cables are safely and correctly installed
 •  Installation of airfield lighting equipment and infrastructure as required
 •  Installation of transformer and cable supports in pits, and termination of cables
 •  Installation of electrical equipment inside airfield lighting power centres
 •  Testing and commissioning of airfield lighting equipment and circuitry
 •  Safely operate on live taxiways and runways and always ensure continual operation of aircraft and airport services
 •  Work with, and alongside, subcontractors, airport employees, and other airfield contractors at all times whilst on site
 •  Coordinate materials and ordering, ensuring relevant stock levels are kept

*You will bring*
 •  A minimum of 8 years’ experience supervising small or medium scale construction and/or electrical projects
 •  Must be trade qualified (EWRB, or equivalent)
 •  Must hold the relevant construction induction card or site safety passport
 •  Valid driver’s licence
 •  An understanding of civil construction
 •  Airfield lighting/aviation experience preferred, but not mandatory
 •  The ability to communicate well with both internal and external stakeholders to progress works and ensure project completion aligns with contractual end dates.
 •  Experience using Microsoft applications desirable.
 •  Experience using job management software
 •  The ability to read and understand design drawings, service drawings, and circuitry diagrams
 •  Initiative and a positive and proactive approach
 •  Great team player and ability to operate autonomously
 •  Attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality work
 •  Healthy attitude and great work ethic
 •  Committed to meeting deadlines
 •  A willingness for domestic and international travel as and when required, for training, project, or maintenance purposes
