Position Overview:
We are in search of a Database Developer with a knack for problem-solving and a passion for optimizing data management systems. As a key member of our team, you will not only be responsible for developing and maintaining databases but also for contributing your expertise to researching, consulting, and analyzing system needs, ensuring that our solutions are robust and tailored to meet the unique challenges faced by our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Ø Design, develop, and optimize databases for internal tech-products such as Recruitment SaaS services, E-Appointment management systems, and Data API products.
Ø Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including software developers, data scientists, and product managers to understand database requirements and deliver effective solutions.
Ø Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and diagnosis of errors and faults in database systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
Ø Write and maintain clean, efficient database code that meets system requirements, designs, and technical specifications.
Ø Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation related to database design, schema, and operational procedures.
Ø Implement data security measures to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of information stored in databases.
Ø Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in database management and recommend improvements to existing systems.
Ø Provide strategic advice, guidance, and expertise to support software or design activities, including financial evaluation and costings for software purchases and upgrades.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Ideal that you have a strong understanding of database management systems and SQL proficiency.
Demonstrated ability to research, analyze, and evaluate system needs, with a keen eye for identifying opportunities for optimization.
Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, Python, or Java, with a focus on delivering high-quality, scalable solutions.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a track record of delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
Familiarity with data security best practices and experience with NoSQL databases is considered a plus.
