Multiple Sclerosis Hawke’s Bay is a charitable organisation dedicated to providing a broad range of supportive services to MS clients living in the community. We are focused on enabling, empowering and promoting independence for people living with MS so they can remain active members of their community.

We are looking for a Manager who will lead our organisation now and into the future, support current activities, ensuring our organisation stays relevant, sustainable and efficient. This is a varied role and also includes some ‘hands on’ tasks.

This role is based in our Napier office and is 25 hours a week.

About you: You will understand and be aware of the needs of people with disabilities and relate easily to a wide range of people.

Ideally you will also have most of the following:

 •  Experience in managing a charitable organisation
 •  Excellent relationship building skills
 •  The ability to work independently and as part of a small team
 •  Demonstrated ability to work with other professionals effectively
 •  Discretion and confidentiality
 •  Excellent financial acumen
 •  Superior decision- making skills
 •  Experience in Fundraising and organising small events
 •  Experience in Payroll, Xero, Budgets, HR and Health and Safety, External Audits
 •  A working knowledge of Microsoft applications including Office 365, Excel, PowerPoint, Google docs and so on.
 •  Ability to organise and manage time effectively
 •  Excellent verbal, written and presentation/educational skills
 •  Ability to relate to people in an empathetic, non-judgemental manner
 •  Some relatable knowledge and understanding of the health sector
 •  The successful candidate must have a current drivers licence and undergo National Police Clearance.

For the right person there may be another 15 hours of work including office administration, supervisor of editorial processors and book keeping.
