Position Overview: As a Composite Technician at Innovate Composites, you will be an integral part of our production team responsible for manufacturing composite components and structures to the highest standards of quality and precision. You will work with state-of-the-art equipment and materials, utilizing your expertise in composite fabrication techniques to produce components that meet or exceed customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  1.  Composite Fabrication: Fabricate composite components and structures using various techniques such as prepreg laminating, vacuum bagging, autoclave curing & resin infusion.
  2.  Mold Preparation: Prepare moulds and tooling for component production, ensuring cleanliness, proper release agent application, and mould maintenance to achieve high-quality surface finishes.
  3.  Material Handling: Handle composite materials safely and efficiently, including prepreg, dry fabrics, core materials, and adhesives, following established procedures to minimize waste and ensure material integrity.
  4.  Quality Control: Perform visual inspections and dimensional checks on fabricated components to ensure adherence to specifications, identifying and addressing any defects or discrepancies in a timely manner.
  5.  Process Optimization: Continuously seek opportunities to improve production processes, optimize cycle times, and enhance product quality through the implementation of best practices and innovative techniques.
  6.  Workplace Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), safe handling of chemicals, and compliance with company policies and worksafe regulations.
  7.  Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of production activities, including material usage, process parameters, and quality control data, and report any issues or deviations to supervisors as necessary.
  8.  Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with colleagues across various departments to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of projects.

Qualifications:
 •  Proficiency in composite fabrication techniques, including prepreg laminating, vacuum bagging, and resin infusion.
 •  Familiarity with composite materials, such as carbon fibre, honeycomb & foam cores..
 •  Ability to interpret technical drawings, work instructions, and specifications.
 •  Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.
 •  Excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
 •  Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
 •  Enthusiasm, a willingness to learn & a positive demeanour.
 •  All experience levels considered as we will provide full & ongoing training
