Solitaire Lodge is a full-service Luxury Lodge with 10 rooms and up to 25 guests. It is situated 15 minutes from Rotorua.
We operate in a mostly international market with classic / contemporary cuisine including a daily changing 5 course evening Menu changing daily. We strive to work with artisan suppliers, with focus on high quality sourcing, freshness of produce, as well as sensitivity to guest dietary and food preferences.
We endeavor to work fresh to plate.

Our philosophy favors seasonal and best sourcing with focus on quality and uniqueness of presentation.
Success would include enjoying strong experience in all food service areas over the various rostered morning and afternoon shifts. This position is 40 hours / 5 shifts per week. You will join a team of 4 chefs. Prior experience of at least 6 months experience as a Senior Chef is useful experience including work in both bakery and cooking areas.

A daily travel allowance is also provided.
You would assist in maintaining a cohesive part of the culinary team with strong supervising, training and developing junior chefs, achieving good results in-line with food costs.
Assisting in selection, training, monitoring of assistant staff.
We also aim to be green – reuse, recycle, compost, and use minimal packaging.
We maintain compliance awareness and action in regard to NZ food health and safety regulations / HACCP.
