About the Company:

Greengrower is a highly entrepreneurial New Zealand scale-up business disrupting the produce industry across ANZ. Using leading-edge vertical farming technology, Greengrower grows produce all-year round using 95% less water than conventional horticulture and because its grown indoors in a fully controlled environment, sprays and pesticides aren’t needed, which means their produce is organic and doesn’t even need to be washed before you eat it.

About the Role:

This newly created Head of Sales & Marketing position will be responsible for developing and executing the customer strategy and play a critical role in driving the success of the Greengrower’s business. You will have accountability for customer development & growth, optimising strategic sales performance, building the brand and new product development, whilst contributing as a key member of the leadership team.

This role would suit a commercially minded sales leader who loves building high-quality and sustainable customer relationships, is a great communicator and negotiator, and brings a strategic mindset to their work. Note, the business is still a start-up / scale-up so they need someone who can think strategically and long term but who also loves rolling up their sleeves, getting hands-on and executing.

Finally, the Head of Sales and Marketing needs to be the voice of our brand within the business, leading their journey towards becoming one of New Zealand’s most trusted produce brands.

About You:

We are looking for a highly intelligent and ambitious FMCG Sales & Marketing leader who is looking for an opportunity to build a business & brand and transform an industry. You will ideally have the following.

Minimum 5 years’ experience in leading a Sales and/or Marketing function within the FMCG industry.
A track record of delivering exceptional sales results in terms of both customer satisfaction and commercial performance.
Experience in developing and/or bringing new products to market, preferably in the NZ supermarket / retail environment.
Strategic acumen – with the ability to develop strategic plans and build a long-term vision and goals but also be hands-on and get things done.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to build a high performing team as the business grows over time.
Exposure to marketing and brand development in previous roles would also be preferred.
