Fixed term Clinical Nurse Manager Integrated Operations Centre
CNM Patient Flow (includes management of the Admission and Transition Unit)
CNM Nursing Resource
We are seeking two Clinical Nurse Managers for our Integrated Operations Centre (IOC), who will work alongside each other to lead highly skilled team who support the whole Taranaki District. The ideal shift pattern would cover a 12-hour day, but working 8 hours each CNM, from 08:00 20:00 (potentially x1 08:00 16:30 and x1 11:30 20:00).
This is a great opportunity for a Registered Nurses seeking a leadership role. The successful candidate/s will be well supported with a comprehensive orientation and induction programme.
This position has strong working relationships with the whole organisation, senior nursing team, medical staff, Service and Operational Managers and other members of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure the provision of high quality care.
The successful applicant will be someone with:
Post Graduate Certificate, ideally working towards Post Graduate Diploma or Masters
Excellent problem solving and communication skills
Be able to work in an interdisciplinary team and be able to navigate challenging situations.
Advanced experience in wider range of nursing areas with proven leadership experience and ability
Experience in change and financial management is desirable, as well as a working knowledge of quality improvement.

Preferred candidates will have the following:
Knowledge of the implications of Treaty of Waitangi with a commitment to improving the health outcomes of Maori.
A current New Zealand Nursing Council Annual Practising Certificate
A minimum of five years as a registered nurse, ideally with leadership experience such as clinical nurse coordinator / similar role
An up to date expert or senior nurse PDRP
Sound knowledge of the Care Capacity and Demand Management programme including experience with TrendCare, core data set measures and Variance Response Management
Quality Improvement knowledge and the ability to lead quality projects.
Ability to work in a complex changing environment and able to juggle multiple competing priorities.
Ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team.
