About the role:
We are searching for an Instrument Technician to join the McKay Team based in Kawerau.
Duties include but are not limited to:
• Install, maintain, repair, test electrical equipment.
• Perform predictive and preventative maintenance duties.
• Generate or report defects / improvements as required.
• Maintain up to date knowledge of all changes to AS/NZ standards relevant to work. Carry out work to these standards as applicable.
• Deal effectively with all internal and external customer enquiries and / or complaints in a professional manner.
To be considered you must demonstrate:
• Hold a minimum NZ EST CPL
• Experience on a wide range of Industrial control systems, including Analytical and Safety Critical Elements
• Pneumatic and Hydraulic controls an advantage. Also Control valve calibration and repair
• Ability to learn PLC applications.
• Appreciation of Quality assurance documentation and calibration certification
In addition, we are looking for candidates with the following attributes:
• Works well autonomously and within a team environment
• Good relationship building skills.
• Details focused with strong attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of Health and Safety principles
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Honest, reliable, and trustworthy
