We are small tiling company with plenty of work so we are looking forexperienced tiler.
Our expectations; -Be able to work Monday to Saturday (not every Saturday) at least 40 hours per week
• Flexible to work around Auckland and occasionally outside of Auckland with returning to Auckland at the end of
the day
• Have minimum restricted license and his own reliable transport (fuel will be paid), company car will be provided after trial period
• Able to work well on his own, follow the instructions and willing to learn new things
• A mature attitude and strong communication skills
• Most important you must be reliable, on time in the morning and hardworking
Tasks
Mixing and applying coats of plaster, cement and render to structures using trowels, and levelling and smoothing coats to uniform thickness
Have knowledge how to do screeding and self-leveling compounds.
Examining plans and blueprints, and undertaking initial measuring and marking work
Making detailed measurement and using tools (eg. spacer) to make sure tiles are installed and spaced consistently.
Cutting & shaping tiles with electric or mechanical tools; Laying tiles on a flat, clean and level surface or wall
Grouting tiles with cementitious or epoxy grouts and removing excess grout
Siliconing
Measure and design tile layouts to meet customers’ requirements cut tiles with limited wastage
Lay all type of tiles (ceramic, mosaic, marble stone etc) and grouting/sealants
On-site tidy up and cleaning of tools, equipment, etc.
Other tasks from time to time
Adhere to all Health & Safety regulations and procedures; additional tasks may be appointed depending on skill and experience
Full-time permanent role, at least 40 hours/week
Pay $30 to 37 per hour based on experience and knowledge.
Monday to Saturday 40 contracted hours but can reach up to 50 hours or more if you want per week during the busy season. Some short days and some long days. Also, we do have some weekend (Saturday) work from time to time,especially in the summer.
Please consider that all our work is outdoor,either outdoor tiling or pool work, so prepare that you are working most of the time with 20mm or 25mm porcelain or stone tiles. Also you are exposed to weather conditions most of the time.
Successful candidates need to; Pass a pre-employment drug test.
