Stuff.co.nz is looking for an Integration Engineer to join our team based in Auckland. We are looking into building the next generation of technology that powers the stuff.co.nz website and mobile applications.

About You

You are a seasoned Integration engineer passionate about writing code and unafraid of solving big problems. You bring creative ideas and energy to the team, take some risks, and challenge our thinking. Additionally, you love to see the team thrive and take any opportunity to help the team grow.
You will play a key role in developing, maintaining, and enhancing our digital platforms, with a specific focus on Integration/API work.

You are comfortable with:

 •  Developing fast, scalable, intuitive, and easy-to-use web/native apps
 •  Design and implement Restful API
 •  Making sure engineering practices are continually improved and selected tools are utilised
 •  Making sure agreed test coverage is implemented and daily progress communicated
 •  TDD: Unit testing & integration testing frameworks
 •  Utilise modern build tooling and source code versioning to practise continuous integration and delivery
 •  Collaborating with engineers, product managers and designers in an Agile environment
 •  Working as a team and keen to share knowledge with others

And you have experience in:

 •  NodeJS, React, NestJS
 •  Exposure to Kong and/or WSO2 for API Management and Services Integration
 •  Building and deploying cloud-native services with AWS/GCP/Kubernetes

The following skills and experience are preferred but not essential:

 •  Ads API/SDK experience
 •  Experience with using Drupal JSON API
 •  Azure B2C integration
 •  OIDC

About the Role

This role will carry out some or all of the following activities:

 •  Working together with the team to define the solutions
 •  Collaborating with other systems to define API spec
 •  Implementing and maintaining API middleware.
 •  Ensuring that the knowledge acquired is shared across the organisation and built into the agile delivery teams as a discipline
 •  Supporting the design team in realising their vision for the various products at Stuff
 •  Develop intuitive and easy-to-use web and mobile applications
 •  Design, code, verify, test, document, amend and refactor complex software.
 •  Participate in estimation and planning work with an adaptive (iterative/agile) approach
 •  Staying up to date with the latest tech innovations and assessing their value.
