Role
As a Health and Safety Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees, visitors, and contractors across all operational areas. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining health and safety policies, procedures, and programs to promote a culture of safety excellence within the organization.
This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities
 •  Implement health and safety policies, procedures, and guidelines in accordance with local regulations, company standards, and industry best practices.
 •  Ensure that all employees are aware of and adhere to health and safety protocols through regular communication, training, and awareness campaigns.
 •  Conduct regular risk assessments of workplace environments, equipment, and processes to identify potential hazards.
 •  Develop and implement strategies to mitigate identified risks and hazards, including the provision of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety training.
 •  Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and prevent recurrence.
 •  Maintain accurate records of all incidents and near-misses, and prepare comprehensive incident reports for management review and regulatory compliance.
 •  Stay informed about relevant health and safety legislation, regulations, and industry standards, and ensure compliance with all applicable requirements.
 •  Collaborate with regulatory agencies and external auditors during inspections and audits, and address any non-compliance issues in a timely manner.
 •  Coordinate and deliver safety training programs for employees, supervisors, and managers to increase awareness and promote safe work practices.
 •  Develop educational materials and resources to support ongoing safety training initiatives and employee development.
Qualifications
 •  Proven experience in health and safety administration, preferably in a logistics, manufacturing, or transportation environment.
 •  Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards, with the ability to interpret and apply them effectively.
 •  Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with employees at all levels of the organization.
 •  Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications for data analysis and reporting.
