We are seeking a Financial Accountant to join our finance team. As a Financial Accountant at NZFT, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and providing financial insights to assist in decision-making processes.
We will be considering applications from those both for a permanent role or a contracted role
Responsibilities include:
• Managing monthly cash flow reports and forecasts
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis for the board for both NZ and AUS.
• Monitor and managing bank accounts
• Payroll of NZ and AUS employees including commission
• Reconciliation of inter-entity accounts
• Assist in the preparation of budgets, and cash flow projections.
• Oversee day to day transactions of AR, AP and Credit Control
• Management of and process transactions for Xero
• Assisting with client refunds, overdue balance reports and account queries.
• Managing tax returns and obligations
• Managing Fixed Asset Register, Insurance and GST returns
• Accounts training with the sales team
• Manage relationships with external stakeholders
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations.
• Experience working in an organisation that operates in multiple currencies
Requirements
• CPA or CA qualification is required.
• Strong knowledge and experience of NZ and AUS accounting principles and practices would be desirable
• 5+ years of experience in financial accounting, preferably in the travel or hospitality industries.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proactive with strong organisational, time management and computer skills.
• Excellent communication and team work skills!
