Downer remains at the forefront of our industry by employing the best people and having the courage to challenge the status quo. Here's your chance to join the Wainui team where we take pride in taking on projects, big and small and delivering them to world-class standards - every time!
With an eye for detail and a steady hand you will be confident in operating a Grader Machine across a range of situations including high shoulder removal, unsealed road maintenance, pavement construction, and final trim grading. You'll also:
• Operate controls to excavate, break, drill, level, compact, gouge out, move, load and spread earther, rock, rubble, soil and other materials
• Prepare and position plant for operation
• Work from drawings, markers and verbal instructions
• Service, lubricate, clean and refuel plant and preform minor adjustments and repairs
**Nga pukenga matua | Important Skills**
With experience operating Graders within the civil construction industry, you'll also be a team player and confident operating independently as required. You'll also have:
• A Class 2 Driver Licence with Wheels, Tracks and Rollers (WTR) endorsements
• Have practical work experience in road construction and civil
• A passion for working outdoors and keeping physically fit
• Show commitment to safe work practices
