The SpeechLanguage Therapy service offers supportive team environments with experiencedcolleagues, regular clinical supervision and a wide range of opportunities forcontinuing professional development.As a Team Coordinator/Leader you willbe primarily responsible for co-ordinating and providing leadership for the SpeechLanguage Therapy team working across medical/surgical specialties.
The medical/surgicalteam provides a service to all adult clinical areas in the acute hospitalsetting, including but not limited to; general medicine, general surgery,respiratory, stroke, neurology/neurosurgery, orthopaedics, cardiology,cardiothoracics, oncology, otolaryngology, head & neck cancer and criticalcare.
We also provide inpatient and outpatient videofluoroscopy and FlexibleEndoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) services, as well as outpatient head& neck cancer, radiotherapy and voice services. In this role you will carrya clinical caseload across the inpatient wards, as well as utilise your skillsin the education, training and supervision of other staff.
