We strive to provide the best possible Early Childhood Education (ECE) available for the tamariki / children of Northland. Mission Place Kindergarten is 1 of 25 kindergartens within Northland that is under the Northland Kindergarten Association umbrella.

Reports to: Head Teacher

To assist teaching staff in achieving the association goals of providing quality Early Childhood Education by providing administrative support to the kindergarten team of staff.

Key Tasks
  • Administration - varying duties
  • Accounts to Association - prepare ESL creditor schedules, receipting, fees, administering the Info-care accounts and other finance duties
  • Maintain records accurately both manually and electronically using Info-care system. Ensure documentation and resources for new enrolments are managed and up to date
  • Assist with enrolment management, keeping Head Teacher up to date with enrolments and maintain confidentiality regarding staff, children, families, and whanau
  • Invoice, receipt, and code payments in a timely manner
  • File documentation
  • Answer phones and manage parent enquires
  • Order equipment and supplies
  • Manage grant applications in conjunction with the Head Teacher
  • Ensure Policy folders are up to date and accessible
  • Other duties as required by the Head Teacher
  • Hours of Work

This will be a 15 hour per week position with requirements to work Mondays and Fridays. Times are flexible and to be negotiated with the Head Teacher.
