Agricultural Machinery Operators and Truck Drivers - Thames

The role is for the peak season from mid September to April/ May only

• 2 years experience in operating agricultural machinery- ideally with a contractor or large farmer.
• Full Class 1 license is a minimum requirement, a wheels endorsement would be an advantage
• Experience with all types of cultivations, or grass work- mowing raking, baling would be ideal.
• Good communication skills and be able to work well in a team.
• Being able to follow instructions and processes.

• We are a medium size contractor operating throughout the Waikato.
• We carry out cultivation work, planting and drilling, grass silage in bulk or bales as well and maize harvesting as silage or grain.
• We also have a transport arm to the business offering bulk and Hiab truck services
• We run late model equipment and pride ourselves in carrying our work to a high standard as well as offering excellent customer service.
• We have a comprehensive health & safety systems along with other procedures in place.
• We are happy to train you on other equipment you may not have experience with and develop your range of skills.
• You will need some mechanical empathy and be able to maintain the equipment to a high standard.

We also have opportunities for Truck drivers. Class 5 license would be beneficial as well as having some experience of operating tractors. There are opportunities on bulk tippers and Hiab trucks, so experience on both would be ideal.
