Drainage Foreperson / Excavator Operator - Thames
Higgins is on the lookout for a multiskilled Drainage Foreperson / Excavator Operator to join our crew on the East Waikato Network Outcomes Contract (EW NOC), covering the stunning Hauraki Plains to Coromandel Peninsula.
Based out of our Kopu branch, you'll lead a small, dedicated team responsible for:
- Clearing surface water channels, small slips, and culverts
- Filling low shoulders and levelling rest areas
- Minor renewal works such as subsoil and culvert installations
What you'll bring to the role:
- Class 2 + WTR licence (Class 4 or 5 a bonus!)
- Proven ability to operate a range of civil and roading plant
- Experience in road construction and ideally maintenance operations
- Strong leadership skills with a hands-on, team-first attitude
- A commitment to health and safety-for yourself, your team, and the public
- Reliability, honesty, and a lead-from-the-front mindset
- Flexibility to work on-call when required
