- impact role Mō te tūnga | About the roleWe have an exciting opportunity for a compliance specialist to join our team and be responsible for maintaining, updating and improving our financial systems, policies and frameworks.
Your focus will be on ensuring robust compliance processes are in place for our finance policies, processes, financial delegations and related legislation.This is a position that will suit someone who has a strong understanding of financial policy, financial reporting processes, Public Benefit Entity accounting standards (PBE IPSAS), applicable legislative requirements, and enjoy proactively identifying and implementing improvements.You will join a collaborative and friendly team.
You will have the opportunity to build both internal and external relationships, as well as opportunities to continue your own development.Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experienceThe Compliance Specialist is responsible for implementing and maintaining a robust compliance process to monitor and report on compliance with finance policies, public sector accounting and reporting, associated legislation to ensure these are effective and appropriate for the organisation.
In addition, this position will provide general accounting support to the wider Finance Team.To be successful in this role, you will have:Proven ability to develop and implement effective financial policies, procedures, processes and systems.Set up, manage and report on compliance across the wider finance function.Strong ability to build and maintain strategic relationships.Demonstrated communication, facilitation, influencing and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly communicate technical information in plain language.Ability to work collaboratively and develop positive working relationships with team members and with others across the organisation.Foster a commitment to customer service standards and business improvement principles.
Ngā painga | The benefitsThe midpoint of the salary range is $106,789 per annum and the full range (85%-120%) is $90,771- $128,147 per annum.
