Carpenter/Joiner - Auckland

• Guaranteed 40 hours minimum per week
• This is a permanent role based in Auckland
• Wages range from $29.66 per hour depending on experience

• 3 years’ experience in set out, ground works, timber framing
• assembling prepared wood to form structures and fittings ready to install, including kitchen joinery
• Knowledge of building codes that comply with appropriate Building Acts

• Select & procure appropriate materials to complete task on hand.
• Work closely with the manager in coordinating carpentry/joiner services and implementing control functions
• Manufacture and install stairs, doors and floors.
• Set up and operate variety of woodworking machines and use various hand tools
• Lay foundations, fabricate profiles and boxing for concreting
• Mark cutting & assembly lines on materials
• Shape materials to prescribed measures
• Confirm correctness with plumb bob, square, tape and carpenter’s levels.
• install partitions
• assembling prepared wood to form structures and fittings ready to install
• Proper use and installation of building paper to keep moisture out.
• install window frames, doors, door hardware, door frames, weather stripping, interior & exterior trims.
• Make, repair or install furniture (both free-standing and fixed), including kitchen joinery
• All internal and exterior linings and finishing’s
