Project Manager
This mid-sized commercial contractor has a great reputation for staff loyalty with hands on directors that know how to look after their staff. They have a down to earth team culture with an outstanding client servicing ethic. They are delivering projects across multi story residential, warehouses/factories, commercial offices, large remediation projects as well aged care up to $80M.
They have been recently awarded a $20M project which requires a site-based PM that can lead the delivery of this build.
Reporting into a Construction Manager, you will be leading a team of site team reporting on project delivery throughout. This will involve managing day to day operations with regular updates and interaction from/with site managers, sub-contractors and other consultants.You will be proactively monitoring commercial and contractual issues and providing feedback. You will be ensuring projects costs are measured, monitored and agreed. There will also be a strong emphasis on H&S and compliance.
Key success factors for this role require:
- A trade qualification and ideally coupled with a tertiary qualification
- 10 + years experience managing $20M - $30M+ projects
- Sound knowledge of relevant commercial construction legislation including 3910
- Strong programming skills and an advanced user of MS Project and/or other construction management systems
- Strong financial management with ability to drive cost accountability
- Outstanding written and oral communication
- Ability to drive a program and motivate site teams
