Healthcare Assistant

We are actively seeking applicants and always accepting expressions of interests from experienced Healthcare Assistants for Pinehaven Cottage.

Pay Rate: $29.66 per hour as per pay equity (Level 4 qualification)

• Provide person-centred care under the direction and delegation of a health professional.
• Provide person-centred support to maximise independence
• To safely, efficiently and effectively deliver care by prioritising attendance to Resident's needs and delivering the best care possible -Must ensure that all routine cares are delivered as per residents care plans
• To observe privacy, dignity, comfort and confidentiality of residents
• To observe and report changes in resident's condition and vital signs
• To follow basic hygiene and infection control principles
• To perform other duties to maximise the Resident's safety and sense of wellbeing

• Aged care experience preferred.
• Minimum of at least 2 years' work relevant experience.
• A relevant qualification such as New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing Level 4
• Experience in Dementia setting preferred.

• Flexibility to work during the week and/or weekends
• Must be fluent in English
• Applicants will need to be articulate, kind, caring, responsible and have empathy for the elderly
