Hawkeswoods, a family-owned New Zealand company, with 20 years of experience in civil and mining operations throughout New Zealand, has launched the Millers Flat Alluvial Project. This project will employ up to 30 personnel in roles ranging from earth moving and dredge operations to administration, health, safety, and compliance.

Overview:Hawkeswoods, a family-owned New Zealand company, with 20 years of experience in civil and mining operations throughout New Zealand, has launched the Millers Flat Alluvial Project. This project will employ up to 30 personnel in roles ranging from earth moving and dredge operations to administration, health, safety, and compliance.
Based near Millers Flat township in Central Otago, the project is expected to last seven years. Hawkeswood's values cultural and people diversity and is committed to maintaining high standards of health and safety.
Role:- Operate excavators (20T up to 120T), graders, trucks, bulldozers, water truck and other machinery we have on site.
- Can finish to a high standard.
- Ensure precise operation, maintaining control and accuracy in all tasks.
- Conduct pre-start daily inspections and routine maintenance to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Follow safety protocols and industry best practices to maintain a safe working environment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks and operations.
- Maintain a clean and tidy work environment, including the machine's and surrounding work area.
- Proven experience as an machine operator in an earth-moving or civil environment.
- Precision and control in operating excavators and other machines.
- Good understanding of safety practices and procedures.
- Ability to perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of equipment.
- High level of trustworthiness and integrity.
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- Punctual, reliable, and committed to maintaining high safety and work standards.
- Location: This position is based in Millers Flat, Central Otago.

- Work Environment: The role requires working in an outdoor environment with exposure to various weather conditions.
- Medical Requirement: A mandatory medical examination including drug test must be conducted before employment commences.
