Kennel /Cattery Attendant

The Role:

• Four days a week (32+ hours) on a roster that changes weekly. This role does require both weekend and public holiday work. You may be offered extra days/ hours over busy periods.
• Hours for work are 8am to 5pm with a 1-hour lunch break.
• We are a very busy kennels with both daycare and boarding for cats and dogs. The role can be very physically demanding and requires a good level of health and fitness
• The role includes a variety of tasks including:
• Cleaning kennels and runs
• Monitoring the health and welfare of pet under supervision, promptly advising management of any concerns or issues.
• Cleaning kennels, runs and cattery units
• Socialising and supervising dogs during exercise time
• Bathing and brushing pets
• Feeding, medicating and administering health checks

We are looking for someone who is a great team fit and is:

• Reliable, Punctual, and has a strong work ethic
• Self-motivated and able to take initiative.
• Excellent time management skills
• Can work well in a team
• Efficient cleaner to maintain the high standards we have
• Demonstrate confidence with handling dogs of all sizes
• A sound understanding of canine behaviour
• Be physically fit

Animal care experience or qualifications are preferred.
