About the Role If you arean experienced Mental Health Nurse, we are recruiting for a Associate ChargeNurse Manager position with our inpatient team.
This is an exciting opportunityto support our nursing workforce, quality improvement and service developmentinitiatives. You will be joining a team who are passionate about promoting thewellbeing of older adults experiencing mental health changes in later life.

The rolewill enhance clinical leadership within our service and have delegatedoperational responsibilities. You will be working closely with the Team Leaderfor inpatient and community teams alongside our dynamic interdisciplinaryleadership team to promote excellence in service delivery and care in thisspecialty area of mental health.The salaryfor this role is PSA Nursing MECA Grade 2, $116,040 - $127,674.About theTeam/Service/ Location MentalHealth Service Older Persons (MHSOP) provides specialist assessment, treatmentand recovery focused interventions.

We are primarily a community-based serviceincorporating a 16 bed inpatient facility. Ourinpatient unit provides specialist assessment, treatment and rehabilitationservices for individuals with a wide range of mental health challenges. MHSOPprimarily serves individuals presenting with mental health needs in later lifeincluding people living with dementia.
About you You willhave excellent clinical credibility as well as an ability to ensure operationalobjectives are realized and consistent with the vision and values of theorganization. With your proven ability to lead, you will be highly motivatedwith excellent communication skills and have the ability to build successfulrelationships within the service.

The ideal candidate additionally will '- Have or beworking towards a relevant post graduate Mental Health nursing qualification.- Have anextensive background in mental health and preferablywith experience in this specialty.- Demonstrateexperience in managing and overseeing workloads in a busy clinical environments.- Be aRegistered Nurse with previous mental health and intellectual disabilityexperience, and hold a current Annual PracticingCertificate (APC) with Mental Health Scope- Be acompassionate and empathetic clinical professional while having a clear understanding of professional boundaries.- Have stronginterpersonal, verbal and non-verbal communication skills.- Have anability to adapt to a constantly changing environment.- Have anability to work within a multi-disciplinary team, providing clear instructionsand delegating appropriately as required.- Have adriver license.- Be able towork rostered shifts as required.
