Machine Operator - Porirua Landfill
Our Porirua Landfill team are currently on the lookout for an experienced Machine Operator.
You will be responsible for operating loaders and transferring waste from the Transfer station to landfill. Your role will be positioned at the landfill tip face, operating multiple machines and working alongside your teammates to push, move & compact areas of the landfill to maximise efficiencies.
Ideally for the tip face role you will be competent in excavator/doza operation, and with the right motivation and attitude our in-house trainers can teach you the rest.
Ideally, you will have- Class 2 licence at a minimum with WTR endorsements- if you have class 4 that's even better however our in-house Trainers are able to further your skills & licences
- Proficient use of excavators and other heavy machinery
- A good couple years' experience operating heavy machinery - or someone with the drive & enthusiasm for long term career opportunities
- Working knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety, and the importance of to ensure you get home safe each night
