We’re looking for a qualified residential carpenter to join our Hamilton East site on a 9-
month fixed-term contract. You’ll be part of a small, experienced team working on new
home builds under the direction of our Foreman Carpenter / Site Manager. This is a great
opportunity to join a well-organised construction team with consistent work on a single

The OpportunityWe’re looking for a qualified residential carpenter to join our Hamilton East site on a 9-
month fixed-term contract. You’ll be part of a small, experienced team working on new
home builds under the direction of our Foreman Carpenter / Site Manager. This is a great
opportunity to join a well-organised construction team with consistent work on a single
site.
What You’ll Be Doing- Carrying out general and specialist building work to NZ standards.
- Working alongside other carpenters and apprentices on residential projects.
- Keeping a safe, tidy, and efficient work site.
- Maintaining communication with supervisors and subcontractors.
- NZ Trade Certificate in Carpentry (or equivalent).
- Experience in residential building (minimum 3–5 years preferred).
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and a strong communicator.
- Current NZ driver’s license and own tools.
- Pre employment drug test
- Competitive hourly rate based on experience.
- Full-time fixed-term role for 9 months.
- Work on one site only – Hamilton East.
- Chance to continue on other Highview Properties Ltd projects after this term.
