About the RoleWe are looking for a registered Psychologist for our Renal and Diabetes Services at Whakatāne Hospital, Bay of Plenty Hauora a Toi. This is a new position working with the teams to develop a strong multi-disciplinary approach to their services.
This position is permanent part time with 0.4 FTE (16 hours a week) allocated to renal services and 0.1 FTE (4 hours a week) allocated to the diabetes service. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape and develop the renal and diabetes psychology service within a small team.

This role sits within the Te Koru Rehabilitation department, whilst working within the renal and diabetes services. The renal service is a small department with six chairs and runs six days a week with two shifts. The Te Koru Rehabilitation department includes allied health professionals across acute services, inpatient, rehabilitation, community and outpatient services.

About youTo be successful in this role you will:Be a New Zealand Registered Clinical Psychologist with current APCHave postgraduate training in clinical psychology and other relevant trainingBe able to demonstrate core facilitative skills in interpersonal interactionHold a current Driver's LicenceBe understanding of others by appreciating cultural differencesWilling to be a strong voice for our community/people- Kainga tuturu This position is suitable for those trained in, and adhering to, the clinical scopes of practice as defined by the New Zealand Psychologists Board.
