Event Manager

Settlers Country Manor, a premium venue based in Kumeu, West Auckland, offering a magnificent setting for wedding receptions and ceremonies, event space, luxury accommodation, dining experience and catering facilities. We are looking for an Event Manager that will be dedicated for the planning, execution, and management of wedding receptions, events, functions, banquets held at our venue.
Key Responsibilities- Meeting and Consultation with clients for their needs, preference and budgets, and providing them with the options and quotations of the event.
- Based on clients’ budgets and needs, provide clients with tailored services, including event arrangements, timelines, cost, equipment hire, catering, and logistics and etc.
- Arrange, coordinate and oversee event setup and execution on-site, to ensure smooth delivery and troubleshoot any issues as they arise; develop contingency plans for unexpected events.
- Organise and liaise with various contractors, e.g photographers, DJ, band and florists , etc
- Supervises temporary staff required for events.
- Participate in media and marketing initiatives to promote our venue and services across multiple channels.
- Develop new clients and maintain strong relationships with existing ones; gather feedbacks from clients and attendees, and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure a safe environment for participants, minimising risks, complying with local regulations and implementing control measures.
- NZQF Diploma in Business or Management
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to build and maintain long-term partnerships with clients
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and spoken
- Familiar with relevant regulations and popular types of stream media
- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Strong data analysis and budgeting skills
- Proven experience in hospitality industry is preferred
