The role requires versatile individual to fill the combined role of Operations Coordinator and Courier Driver. Reporting directly to the owner and business development manager, this position entails overseeing and delivering on all operational aspects while actively engaging in delivery tasks.
The Electrical Test & Tag Specialist, Fire Safety Trainer, and Fire Safety Equipment Installer is responsible for conducting electrical testing and tagging, delivering fire safety training, and installing and maintaining fire safety equipment.This role ensures compliance with safety standards and regulations and enhances the safety and preparedness of clients.

Job Title: Operations Coordinator & Courier Driver
Responsibilities::
- Develop and execute operational strategies to ensure the efficient delivery of courier services, in alignment with company objectives.
- Establish and enforce operational policies, procedures, and workflows to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Monitor and manage fleet logistics, including vehicle maintenance, scheduling, and route optimization, to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
- Implement measures to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and company policies. Collects records from accident/incident forms and updates the hazards register when needed.
- Collaborate with the owner and business development manager to identify opportunities for process improvement and business growth.
- Operate company vehicles safely to deliver parcels, packages, and goods to designated locations within the specified area.
- Plan delivery routes efficiently to maximize productivity and minimize fuel consumption, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions, including package handling, documentation, and addressing customer inquiries or concerns.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance tasks, promptly reporting any issues or concerns to the owner and business development manager.
- Contribute to a positive work environment by collaborating with team members and actively participating in continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in logistics, operations management, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in a similar role, demonstrating the ability to deliver accurately on operations and drive results in a transportation or logistics environment.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driver's license (CDL) may be required.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
- Flexibility to work variable hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed to meet business demands.

- Conduct Electrical Testing: Perform testing and tagging of electrical appliances and equipment in accordance with New Zealand standards and regulations.
- Inspection and Reporting: Inspect electrical items for safety compliance, document test results, and generate detailed reports.
- Compliance Assurance: Ensure all testing and tagging activities adhere to industry standards and legislative requirements.
- Maintenance: Stay updated on electrical safety regulations and best practices.
- Develop Training Programs: Create and deliver fire safety training programs for clients, including staff training on fire prevention, emergency procedures, and equipment use.
- Training Delivery: Conduct training sessions, workshops, and drills to enhance fire safety awareness and preparedness.
- Install Fire Safety Equipment: Install and maintain fire safety equipment, including smoke alarms, fire extinguishers, and fire alarms, ensuring proper operation and compliance with safety standards.
- Inspection and Testing: Conduct routine inspections and testing of installed fire safety equipment.
- Education: Relevant certifications and qualifications in electrical safety, fire safety, and equipment installation.
- Experience: Proven experience in electrical testing and tagging, fire safety training, and equipment installation.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of electrical safety standards, fire safety regulations, and equipment installation procedures.
