Class 2 Civil
The Role
Are you a reliable Class 2 driver or WTR operator who's ready to take the next step in your civil career? We're looking for a proactive and hard-working Class 2/WTR Labourer to work alongside our Foreman on a range of civil projects across the Manawatu.This role is ideal for someone who thrives behind the wheel, operates machinery with confidence, and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves and get stuck into physical site work.
Key Responsibilities- Operate Class 2 vehicles and WTR machinery safely, efficiently, and with care for site standards.
- Support daily site operations - including set-ups, pack-downs, materials handling, and task coordination.
- Carry out hands-on labouring duties to keep projects moving on time and to a high standard.
- Local civil work - be home every night.
- Weekly pay and full PPE supplied.
- Pathways to long-term or permanent employment for the right person.
Hours
Monday to Friday, approx. 6:00am - 6:00pm, with occasional half-day Saturdays.
Flexibility is essential as hours may change with project schedules and weather conditions.
What You'll Need- Class 2 licence and/or WTR endorsements
- Previous Class 2 driving and machinery operating experience (highly beneficial).
- Physically fit, reliable, and willing to take on manual labouring tasks.
- Able to pass a Ministry of Justice check and pre-employment drug test.
- Strong work ethic, great communication skills, and a positive, team-focused attitude.
