About the Role

Join a team where your work contributes to something meaningful — not just food safety, but animal dignity. As an inspector, you’ll conduct ante- and post-mortem inspections, collect NMD samples, and ensure compliance with New Zealand's highest safety and welfare standards.

As a slaughterperson, You’ll be hands-on in the most crucial moment of the animal’s journey — ensuring it’s done with respect, calm, and zero stress. Your role includes handling in full alignment with New Zealand’s welfare regulations and ethical slaughter practices.

What You’ll Need: NZ Certificate in Meat Processing / humane animal handling and slaughter

Experience as an Official Assessor / Familiarity with stunning methods
Clear understanding of inspection protocols, hygiene, and traceability /Understanding of the Animal Welfare Act and MPI requirements

Accuracy in documentation and sample handling & Physical fitness and composure in a high-responsibility role
