Civil Construction Supervisor

This is a key Supervisor role, supporting the Site Manager with the day to day running of civil projects. You'll lead crews and subcontractors on site, coordinate plant and resources, and ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to programme.

The role:You'll be responsible for keeping sites running smoothly by:
- Coordinating labour, plant, subcontractors, and suppliers in line with project plans
- Ensuring productivity, workmanship, safety, quality, and environmental standards are met
- Reading and interpreting plans, construction methodologies, and short term programmes
- Monitoring site productivity against estimates and updating delivery plans
- Completing site paperwork accurately and on time
- Coaching and developing crew members through hands-on leadership
- Leading by example with strong HSE, wellbeing, and company values
- Assisting with hands on tasks when required (including drainlaying and operating)
What we're looking for:
- Proven experience in civil construction, ideally in a supervisory or senior leading hand role
- Strong knowledge of civil methodologies, plant, materials, and supply chain coordination
- Ability to plan ahead, problem-solve, and keep crews productive
- Confidence leading people and holding high safety and quality standards
- Comfortable working on the tools when required
- Good communication skills and a team-first mindset
Tickets & training:
Our client invests heavily in training and development. Depending on experience, you may already hold or be supported to obtain:
- Site Safe Supervisor / Construct Safe
- STMS, First Aid, Lifting & Slinging, confined space (as required)
- Plant competencies (excavator, loader, roller, specialist plant)
- Class 2 licence (preferred)
- Ongoing leadership, safety, and technical upskilling
- Clear pathways into formal supervision, management, and leadership qualifications
