BestStart Naenae is seeking a passionate Caregiver or Teacher in Training to join our energetic and supportive team. Whether you're beginning your ECE career journey or already experienced in caring for tamariki, this is your opportunity to make a real difference.

About the Role
We have flexibility to welcome either:
- A Caregiver with a passion for infants and toddlers (0–2 years), providing nurturing, responsive care in a calm environment.
- A Teacher in Training, currently enrolled or applying to enrol in a Level 7 ECE qualification (Bachelor or Graduate Diploma), who is eager to grow alongside our experienced teaching team.
This is a permanent role working 30–40 hours per week.
What you'll do:
- Provide safe, nurturing, and engaging care for our tamariki.
- Be part of a collaborative team, championing tamariki learning and wellbeing.
- Support centre activities and daily routines, helping create an environment where children feel secure and thrive.
- For Teachers in Training – engage in planning, curriculum, and study support while developing your practice.

Role Requirements:
- Caregiver: Natural affinity with children, especially infants/toddlers, and experience working with under 5's.
- Teacher in Training: Currently enrolled (or applying to enrol) in a Level 7 ECE qualification, with a commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, Te Whariki, and high standards of practice.
