We’re looking for an all-rounder to help ensure our farms operate safely and successfully. In this role, you’ll be involved in a variety of farm operations, including milking, stock work, farm maintenance, weed spraying, record keeping, contractor liaison, and machinery operation.
Your positive attitude, willingness to learn, and understanding of farming will set you up for success. With on-the-job mentoring, external training, and career progression opportunities, this is a role not to be missed!

Fonterra has extensive dairy and dry stock farms throughout New Zealand supporting the processing sites' needs through the application of wastewater in a sustainable and environmentally friendly manner. You will need to bring great communication skills to the table to work in with the on-farm irrigation teams daily.
Join us and play a vital role in supporting the Farms Manager to achieve national and global objectives. Our Northland Farms cover approximately 550ha of land – with multiple operations within this. On a 100ha milking platform we milk 280 cows twice a day, the cut and carry platform exports ~2 million kgDM off the farm each year, and the drystock block supports heifer grazing, heifer replacements, and beef grazing as well.With a large variety of work here, and being located 15 minutes north of Whangarei in the gateway of Tutukaka Coast, where else would you rather be.

We are looking for an experienced farmer who can work independently and safetly across a range of farming activities. You'll have strong base farming skills, and can support the Farm Manager with the day to day operations and decisions, and step up as required.You’ll passionate about learning, growing, and contributing to innovative farming solutions.
Key Skills & Attributes:- An Agribusiness or farming qualification is preferred but not necessary
- A strong background in animal management and dairy farming
- Experience with farm management software (FarmIQ preferred)
- A proactive focus on health and safety, promoting a culture of safety among the team.
- Team player with genuine passion
- Pride in farm presentation and a good sense of humor
- Desire to progress within the industry
- Strong skills in building and maintaining positive relationships and thriving in a team-oriented environment.
- Understanding of milk quality and a commitment to maintaining high milk quality standards.
