Class 5 Driver - Christchurch
Paul Smith Earthmoving is a premier, earthmoving company with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality civil projects across the South Island.
We're looking for an experienced Class 5 Truck Driver with construction experience to transport and deliver materials and equipment from our yards to project specific locations around the region.
To be successful in this role you are:
- Adhering to all road rules, driving laws, and health and safety policies and procedures.
- Completing documentation associated with collection and delivery of material.
- Operating the vehicle in a safe manner and ensuring the material is properly loaded and unloaded.
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks, including reporting any maintenance, mechanical or operational issues.
- Taking care of the truck including cleaning and keeping it in a tidy condition.
- Undertaking training as required.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and attributes:
- Hold a Class 5 Licence.
- Proven construction experience as a truck and trailer driver
- Have strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with the transport manager and site staff
- A positive attitude and willingness to hit the ground running and get amongst it.
