Night Auditor – Part Time (Friday & Saturday nights)
Location: The Cambridge Hotel / Trinity Hotel – Wellington CBD
Hours: Friday & Saturday nights, 10:30pm – 7:00am
This is a solo night shift based at reception, where you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the hotel overnight. The position is for Friday and Saturday nights, with the potential to pick up extra shifts when covering staff on leave or sickness.

We’re looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Night Auditor to join our team!This is a solo night shift based at reception, where you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the hotel overnight. The position is for Friday and Saturday nights, with the potential to pick up extra shifts when covering staff on leave or sickness.
We operate two central Wellington hotels (The Cambridge Hotel and Trinity Hotel), so occasional cross-site support may be needed.
What you’ll do:
- Welcome and assist guests with late check-ins, early check-outs, and overnight queries
- Monitor reservations, handle walk-ins and phone/email enquiries
- Balance and reconcile daily banking and reports
- Run the end-of-day procedures (DAY END)
- Perform basic front desk admin and ensure all overnight tasks are completed to a high standard
- Conduct regular security checks throughout the property
- Cleaning and lobby upkeep
- Communicate any key updates to day shift, housekeeping, or maintenance teams
You’ll be a great fit if you:
- Are confident working solo overnight
- Are friendly, calm under pressure, and enjoy helping people
- Have strong attention to detail and excellent time management
- Are computer savvy and comfortable with admin tasks
- Have hotel front desk or reception experience (ideal, but not essential)
- Have a good understanding of written communication (emailing guests, recording notes)
- Are flexible and happy to support the wider team when needed
Bonus points for experience with:
- Mews PMS (Property Management System)
- SiteMinder (Channel Manager)
- Microsoft Excel/Word
