The Manager, People and Operations is a key management and leadership role in the regional service.
The primary purpose of the role is to provide leadership and effective day-to-day operational management for the Regional Operational and Public Health Specialist team to deliver strategic, policy and operational priorities to enable the realisation of Pae Ora.About the Team/Service/ LocationThe NPHS sits within Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora and works towards Pae Ora (healthy futures) for all by engaging with the wider determinants that impact people's health, focusing on oranga/wellbeing, prevention, protection, and population-level intervention.About youYou are an experienced public health leader with proven experience of building capability and lifting performance of a multi-disciplinary team/unit.
You will be able to deliver on programmes of work in a complex environment and be involved in developing and implementing effective group strategies.Demonstrated Operational management experience of at least 3 yearsExperience in Financial managementExperience in Clinical management highly desiredExperience in leading change, and service and quality improvement initiativesExperience in applying critical thinking, using sound judgment to develop options and the machinery of governmentProven supervision, mentoring, coaching and teaching skillsDemonstrable understanding and experience working in partnership with Pacific communitiesWorking for Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
