At Miranda Smith Homecare, we are committed to growing our team of caregivers and are looking for those with experience and/or practical life skills to join our team! We pride ourselves on the exceptional in-home care we provide to our clients.

In this role, you have the ability to make a meaningful impact on others through the quality care you provide and we continue to offer opportunities for training and career advancement for you.

We are looking to grow our team of carers across the Tauranga region to support some new and existing clients. There are week day opportunities across the week, mornings and afternoons and a number of other shifts available, including weekends.

In this role you could be providing companionship, light personal cares and home-help support. You will need to have your full license, a background in caregiving and strong communication skills. We are looking for carers who are experienced, kind, caring and who are truly committed to providing quality care.

We offer 24hour support to our all of our clients, consisting of days, nights and sleepover shifts, from Monday to Sunday, with a minimum of 3 hour shifts. We offer support from companionship through to palliative care, so we are able to offer a variety of shifts to complement your skill set.

We have a dedicated office team providing support and guidance to our caregivers. We have a registered nurse on the team to support you in your role and an after hours coordination team to ensure you have the support you need should you work weekends and nights.

We would love to hear from you if you have had experience with the following:

  • Companionship and home-help, which may include light house work
  • Meal preparation
  • Personal Cares; to include showering, dressing, grooming
  • Dementia care
  • Palliative care

  • Recent care giving/healthcare preferred
  • A clean full NZ Driver's License and a car;
