About the Opportunity
Are you a detail-driven accountant with a passion for technical financial reporting? We’re working with a leading Financial Services organisation looking for a Corporate Accountant to join their Corporate Finance team on a 6-month contract. You’ll play a key role in delivering accurate financial statements, supporting audit readiness, and ensuring compliance with IFRS and NZ regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities- Prepare statutory financial statements (half-year and annual) for group entities.
- Deliver accurate monthly reconciliations and cash flow statements.
- Support audit processes with detailed workpapers and reconciliations.
- Provide technical accounting advice and support on complex reporting matters, including IFRS 9 and IFRS 17 and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate across finance and business teams to enhance financial control and governance.
About You
You are a proactive and analytical finance professional with a passion for delivering high-quality financial reporting. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are confident engaging with stakeholders across all levels.
You will bring:
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in financial accounting or reporting roles.
- Background in Financial Services or Insurance or Big 4 preferred
- Strong understanding of NZ regulatory frameworks and international accounting standards.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- CA, CPA, or ACA qualification.
