Due to strong continued growth, a real opportunity has arisen for a qualified Diesel Mechanics to work for a top NZ public transport company.
This well-known company provides major passenger commuter services to Auckland Transport as well as Charters and School transport. They have a large fleet of coaches ranging to modern Single and Double Decker’s that have recently entered service.Electric and Hydrogen powered buses have also entered service.
There are several positions available in their Auckland Depots.
Also, additional opportunities at their other NZ depots may also arise.In this role you will play an important part in the on-going scheduled maintenance and repair of these buses and coaches. Working with a fleet that utilises some of the best technology available in the market, industry safety standards that are second to none and a wealth of knowledge in their leadership teams, you will have the opportunity to continue to develop your technical skills and experience.
You’ll need to have the following:A Trade Certification as a Diesel Engine mechanic suitable for Passenger Transport Vehicle Mechanic that can be recognised by the NZ Qualifications Authority if required.
Experienced in the maintenance of Coaches, Buses or road transport vehicles. (Heavy machinery not suitable).
At least 5 yrs. experience as a Diesel Mechanic in road transport.
A heavy vehicle driver’s licence that can be converted easily to a NZ licence.
Desire to progress your career through working with an advanced fleet and state of the art technology.
Excellent computer diagnostic skills and passion for providing a quality service.
Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills.
