We're seeking an experienced STMS to work across active civil construction sites in the Waikato region.

This role is embedded within civil crews. You'll be part of broader infrastructure and earthworks projects, working alongside drainage, roading, and construction teams to ensure traffic management is delivered safely and efficiently.

The Role:

You will take ownership of all Temporary Traffic Management (TTM) requirements on civil sites, including road reconstruction, subdivisions, drainage, and infrastructure upgrades.

Key Responsibilities:

• Running STMS duties across multiple civil projects
• Implementing and managing approved TMPs
• Coordinating directly with Site Managers, Foremen, and Engineers
• Leading toolbox meetings and traffic briefings
• Ensuring CoPTTM / NZTA compliance
• Completing site audits and documentation
• Stepping in hands-on where required to support the crew

This is a practical, site-based role, you'll be working closely with civil teams, not just setting out cones.

• Current Practising STMS Licence (Level 1 required - Level 2/3 highly regarded)
• Strong experience on civil construction sites
• Confident working alongside drainage, roading, and earthworks crews
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Full Class 1 licence (Class 2 advantageous)
• Reliable, safety-focused, and proactive

• $30-$35 pr hour + 8% Holiday pay (based on experience and licence level)
