Diesel Mechanic

The ideal candidate will:
- Be a qualified Heavy Diesel mechanic with heavy diesel equipment experience.
- Be a fit and able self starter with initiative and drive.
- Be a positive person with hydraulics experience and previous exposure to electronic diagnostic equipment.
- Experience with FCAR system would be advantageous.
- Have a passion for providing excellent customer service, & getting it right first time.
- Diagnosing, maintaining, servicing and repairing a fleet of light commercial trucks and heavy equipment.
- With assistance from wider team - strong focus around scheduling and continuous preventative maintenance.
- Pre-checking trucks for COF's.
- Replacing vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions and braking systems.
- Using FCAR (training provided)
- Working closely with our head mechanic in providing excellent customer service.
- Ensuring cleanliness of the workshop along with consistent recording of all stocks, oils and other materials used against a job number
- A "can do" attitude and reliability is key to being successful in this role. Applicants must also be Health and Safety conscious and physically fit.
- Class 4 driver licence is advantageous, but not essential.
- Must have the right to work legally in New Zealand. Resident Visa accepted.
