Who are we?

sKids was founded in 1996 when two parents created a structured out of school care service for primary aged children. Now we’re New Zealand’s favourite kid’s hangout, welcoming over 3800 tamariki each day at over 170 school sites. Working at sKids brings out the inner child in all of us!

Job Description

About the Role:

  • Successful candidate will need to have access to a vehicle or able to work across multiple sites we have around the West Auckland region.
  • Supervise and assist children in programme activities.
  • Ensure that the working environment is kept clean, tidy, hygienic and safe for all children, staff, parents and visitors to the programme at all times.
  • Assist the Programme Manager as required to run the daily format as scheduled as per duties outlined on the task list.
  • Report back to the Programme Manager with any concerns regarding a child or behaviour issues etc.

Hours of work

9+ hours per week rostered between before & after school programmes. Possible School Holiday Programmes hours available over the school holidays.
  • Monday - Friday only.
  • Before school hours: 7am - 8.30am
  • After school hours: from/between 2.30pm - 6pm
  • Holiday Programmes hours: anytime between 7am - 6pm.

Location of work: This is a Roaming Role. You will be rostered to work around in either our sites within the West Auckland Region. That includes the below sites:

  • Fruitvale
  • Glen Eden
  • Henderson North
  • Lincoln Heights
  • Peninsula
  • St Leonards Road
  • Whenuapai (this will be your primary site)

We’re looking for someone who has,
  • Hold a valid visa to work in New Zealand without restrictions
  • Be able to commute/ work around the sites above.
  • Have keen interest to work in similar industries

have previous experience working with children, it can be from babysitting or any volunteered experience.
