Motor Mechanic

Key tasks and responsibilities:

• Gathering information from customers about issues in their vehicles
• Performing test drivers, inspections, and other diagnostic tests on the vehicles to identify the issues/faults in the vehicles and proposing a course of action
• Providing customers with estimated time and cost for repairs
• Provide quality customer service to customers
• Completing preventative maintenance on vehicles, such as oil changes, replacing brakes etc
• Performing scheduled maintenance services
• Repairing and replacing the worn and defective parts
• Repairing damage to the body of the vehicle and painting the vehicles exterior
• Inspecting internal systems and controls to ensure the vehicle is operating properly
• Work with other employees to diagnose and resolve vehicle problems
• Use a variety of tools, equipment, and vehicle parts to fix vehicles
• Maintain tools and equipment in good condition
• Maintaining a clean working environment
• Completing job reports and processing paperwork
• Any other duties the employer may reasonably require the employee to perform

Guaranteed hours of work per week: permanent, full time, minimum 30hrs per week

Requirements for the job:

• At least two years of relevant work experience OR a relevant qualification at Level 4 or higher.
• Always pay attention to details
• Full time availability
• No criminal record
• Candidates need to be NZ citizens/residents
